The First Academy, a ministry of the First Baptist Church of Orlando, enrolls nearly 1000 students in grades K through 12. Our expansive campus in the suburbs of Orlando, Florida provides many opportunities for our students. A caring faculty, personal attention and small classes are some of the hallmarks of an education at The First Academy. The school’s strong academic curriculum is balanced with athletics, fine arts and community service.

Campus Tour

We would love to have you and your family visit The First Academy. Group tours are given every Tuesday at 10:00am. Please RSVP to the Admissions Office at 407-206-8602. If that time does not work with your schedule, please call the Admissions Office at 407-206-8602 to make alternate arrangements.

Admissions Criteria

  1. The First Academy is a covenant school. Therefore, we require that at least one parent/guardian be a born again Christian, having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as his/her Savior.
  2. Applicants should generally score in the 60 th percentile and above on reputable standardized tests.
  3. The First Academy expects exemplary behavior from its students. Applicants must have commendable behavioral records to be considered for admission.

Admissions Process

  1. Submit a completed student application (along with a $100 application fee) to The First Academy Admissions Office.
  2. Complete entrance testing as determined necessary by the Admissions Office.
  3. Have a family conference in which both parents/guardians and any student entering 6th - 12th grade meet with a TFA administrator. The purpose of the family conference is to explain the mission and expectations of the school and allow parents the opportunity to share their expectations and personal walk with Jesus Christ.
