The First Academy

The Fourth grade students at The First Academy have a wonderful opportunity to interact with different subject areas throughout each day. The students begin their day with devotion and prayer time. This is followed by Math, Science, History, English, and Reading. Each subject focuses on content specific to its discipline but takes every opportunity to work in conjunction with the other subjects making cross-curricular activities meaningful to the students.

The areas of study include English (grammar and composition), Florida History, Reading, Poetry, Vocabulary, Mathematics (long multiplication, long division, fractions, and decimals), and Science (birds, insects, oceanography, astronomy, rocks, and minerals).
